Hey, I am Deepak. I have been working as a product designer at Facets for over 2 years in Bengaluru. My main area of focus is to collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to get new features rolled out as well focus on maintaining our design system.

I believe I flourish in places driven by ambition, intellectual curiosity, passion, and joy. I aim to join outstanding teams where we can work together to create impactful and enduring contributions to people’s lives, society, and the world at large.

In my freetime, I am into photography (see below), playing the guitar, practicing Muay Thai and football.

Yes, I have a lot of stickers on my laptop and I'm not going to stop adding more stickers there. :)

My Process

1. Empathise

#case-study-1
Understanding user emotions and pain points is fundamental to the design process. If this step is not executed effectively, the subsequent stages can veer off course, resulting in wasted time and resources.

2. Define

#case-study-2
Clearly defining a problem provides a clear direction for achieving a specific solution. Without a well-defined problem, reaching a concrete and effective solution becomes impossible.

3. Ideate

#case-study-3
Generating multiple ideas and refining them through team discussions allows for swift identification of the most effective solution, enabling quicker progress toward the desired outcome.

4. Design & Protoype

#case-study-4
This is where the real magic happens. Creating low-fidelity wireframes based on the solutions from the previous step and evolving them into high-fidelity wireframes with end-to-end user journey prototypes provides the team and stakeholders with a clear and tangible vision of the final product.

5. Test & Iterate

#case-study-5
Testing is a crucial step in the design process. Evaluating the solution to ensure it is usable, accessible, and intuitive is essential. Equally important is iterating on the designs based on the feedback gathered from users, refining the solution for optimal outcomes.

6. Launch & Enhancements

#case-study-6
And that’s it, or is it? Launching a feature is not the conclusion but rather the beginning. Monitoring user engagement with the feature is crucial, as it provides valuable insights that may have been missed earlier. These observations enable you to refine and enhance the feature for continuous improvement.
